Popped over to the appeals website to see if they took any action.
Three days ago the court rejected Cam's petition for review on the
grounds that the motion to dismiss wasn't filed 60 days after the
arraignment. Someone screwed up.
Geragoesthemoney !!

Yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Here's what they wrote, " The
petition is denied because petitioner did not file his motion to
dismiss in the trial court within 60 days after the arraignment." On
with the trial. The only way Cam will walk free now is if the state
drops the charges, not likely, or the jury acquits, which there's a
50-50 chance of given that it's not a slam dunk case.
I got $100 says he rots in a cage ... any takers?

Evidently his trial date has been changed now as well. Next
court date: 10/26/05.
ARG! I'm really getting sick of these delays. I'd like to
see this case tried and a verdict reached.
It's not about what you'd like, Kent. I'm sure there's a reason
for the delays. We're talking about serious charges with
significant punishment, why rush it? Especially if you think he's
guilty, he's not going anywhere, anyway.
Agreed, but I'd still like to see a resolution to this case.
Cam's been sitting in jail for roughly two years. Cam could have been
acquitted or started serving his prison time by now if not for all the
delays.
What's the rush to start a Life WITHOUT Parole sentence?
It won't be over any sooner ...
